PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY

Christ United Methodist Pre-school offers our community a pre-school program that teaches God's love in a loving, accepting atmosphere. Each child is a unique creation of God; therefore each child is accepted at Christ United Methodist for this uniqueness. Recognizing each child is unique in background, abilities, needs and interests and personal characteristics, we believe our endeavors should provide for these differences. We provide every child the opportunity to reach maximum individual, spiritual and academic potentials. We firmly believe that learning and fun are indistinguishable. Our school is a member of ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International).

CURRICULUM

Christ United Methodist Pre-school supports a unit based curriculum. Our teachers will discuss a new theme each week as well as educate your child on letters, shapes, numbers and colors. Our curriculum provides an organized educational and social experience that is suited to the development needs of each child. We provide a music program and chapel time once a week. We also have Spanish for two year olds and older. 

SCHOOL CALENDAR

We are a year-round school program.The school day is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We offer extended day hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

Children who turn 4 year olds September 1st and also reside in Duval County qualify for the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program (VPK). Two FREE VPK morning programs are available. The clases are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. We do offer optional Fun Friday activities and extended day as needed. We follow the Florida Voluntary Pre-kindergarten Education Standards.
