Visitation Ministry Team

 

CUMC has a team of ten salty servants, who are committed to monthly visits to our homebound members and those with extended hospital stays. The team is comprised of members, who visit, phone or send cards as a way of staying in communication with those who may feel alone or isolated from their church family. 

 

The team has recently added an element of serving communion to those who request it. The Pastor first blesses the elements, then these are taken to the members. This has been well received, as it is reverently prepared and served to them. Scripture and prayer are also shared.

 

Can’t physically visit? That’s okay because here are many ways in which to participate. One of team members has a talent for making beautiful cards, which the team uses. Another member, specializes in sending out cards to our Sunday visitors. There’s room for you to join our team and share your talent or gift. You’re invited to become a part of this ministry—there’s room for you!
